Coffee

September 29, 2011 By Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free

Happy National Coffee Day!

Grab your favorite mug, brew your favorite coffee beans, breathe, and enjoy.

While you’re at it, might as well use those coffee beans to make some coffee granola!

THOUGHT-PROVOKING, MIND-PRODDING QUESTION OF THE DAY:

How do you like your coffee?

I like mine dark. I love experimenting with different flavors, too, like Pumpkin Spice or Hazelnut.

Have any new suggestions for me? Any special tips on how to brew the perfect cup?

I take mine black (and it took baby steps over a year or so to get there!). I like flavors, too. Just had a pumpkin spice one yesterday and it was awesome! Which reminds me, I should check into Door County coffees to brew at home again. They’ve got a bazillion flavors and I think pumpkin spice was one of them!

I like mine with a bit of cream or half and half, brewed extra strong. Piping hot or iced. Everyday for the past…. 4 years? I love coffee! If you shake in some cinnamon into the grinds before brewing it, it gives it a wonderful subtle aroma and taste.

That is a brilliant idea! I love the flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg with coffee, but I don’t like putting it in there because it gets too grainy…

Coffee granola is just about the best idea I’ve heard in a very long time. Since sliced bread, the wheel etc. Coffee + breakfast together. Yes please!

I love coffee in most any form!

I have posts on making ice coffee. A KISS recipe. Some ppl seem to think it’s hard or complicate matters but it’s really…umm…basic 🙂

I love flavored creamers, too. Girl I post about coffee so much that I have to consciously NOT post about it. ha!
