I’m Strange Because…

July 8, 2011 By Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free

I’m Sugar-Free, Dairy-Free, and Gluten-Free.

I like beans in my cookies.

And more beans in more cookies.

I like to put chia gel in my berries and cream. Even if it does look like fish eggs.

I water my basil plant…in my shower.

I consider baby food peaches a special treat.

Storks are attracted to me. They stare at me through my bedroom window waiting for food.

I make pizza without crust…or cheese…or tomato sauce.

I like my chocolate dark, bitter, and unsweetened.

I could go on and on, but I’ll save you the drama.

Thought-provoking, mind-prodding question of the day:

Why are you strange?

Don’t leave me hanging! I know I’m not the only weirdo out there! Bonus points for posting it on your blog (or facebook/twitter page if you don’t have one).

My wife came across a great recipe for brownies. There’s plenty of beans in them, no dairy or gluten but sadly, a good amount of sugar. If I figure out how to make it tast great without the sugar, I will be a hero!

Ha, this post is awesome! Do you really water your basil in the shower, but that is pure genius.

I’m strange because I eat food that literally no one else wants – http://bit.ly/a2QKca

I’m strange because I’m taking on this diet with my girlfriend even though I don’t have to. She has a yeast overgrowth and we’re in the process of eradicating it. Who needs carbs and sugar!!??!! The diet is great. Your recipes are great! I’m losing weight and have more energy and I love it! Tonight we’re doing garbanzo bean flatbread pizza with pesto. AND I’M COOKING IT! Can’t thank you enough for the great resources and recipes!

      Hey Robbie!

So glad you feel great on your diet, and I hope your girlfriend feels great, too. Have fun making pizza! Hope you like it!

LOL I can relate to your “weird” eating habits. I drink 3 pots of herbal tea a day for no reason. I just ate pancakes that were all soggy and gross because i put too much zucchini and chia gel in them…and they were supposed to be yummy chocolate blueberry pancakes..pretty weird

Haha! Why was there zucchini in blueberry pancakes? Hahaha….

hahaha I was in an experimenting mood and thought i could add afew more vitamins in the pancake and the cocoa would disguise the flavour LOL big mistake!

We might be here all night if I start a list of my strange attributes. Thankfully, my dear husband and children love me for all of my quirks that make me me. I enjoyed the beans in the cookies. Thanks for opening up a world of possibilities.

hehe I just love it when people are “strange”, b/c we all are! Anyway, what’s the definition of strange? 😀 haha love the stork!! I wish I had something like that at my house 🙂 I’m strange because I love anything that’s deemed as “healthy” not because it’s called that way, but I just happen to enjoy the taste!

I don’t think you are strange at all. I purchased a powdered baby cereal. It has powdered grains and powdered bananas, no sugar. I put it in my yogurt. There, you have it. No added sugar. Worked out great. I used to use baby food to make carrot cake.

I’m weird because I have no health problems at all yet I am in a transition to gluten-free, am 90% sugar free, and completely dairy free. Just a young man passionate about optimal health through nutrition and fitness.
